1. In a bowl combine the ground beef with ham, 1 chopped onion, bread-crumbs, beaten eggs, salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly and form into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
2. In a skillet heat the oil and sauté the meatballs until they are browned all over. Transfer to a saucepan.
3. In a blender combine the other chopped onion with the parsley, tomatoes, salt, pepper and wine. Blend until the mixture is smooth. Pour over the meatballs, adding a little beef stock to barely cover. Simmer, covered, over low heat until meatballs are cooked, 20 minutes. Serve with rice or potatoes.
