1. In a saucepan place the beans and cover with water. Season with salt. Cook them for 3 hours or until tender. When done push the soft beans through a sieve with enough cooking water to make a thick red cream.
2. In a large saucepan mix the creamed beans, coconut milk, raisins, sweet potatoes, sugar and salt. Cook slowly for 1 hour until the sweet potato is cooked and the mixture is thick. Stir occasionally so that it does not stick.
