Ingredients for Cooked Creole Sauce

For Serves 2.
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 large tomato, peeled and chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • - Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

Preparation of Cooked Creole Sauce

1. Heat the oil in a small saucepan and saute the onion until tender but not browned. Add the tomato, red pepper, salt and pepper to taste and cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes or until well blended and fairly thick.

2. Stir in the vinegar, mixing thoroughly.

3. Serve with any meat or fish.
