Ingredients for Tomato Sauce

For Makes 2 cups of sauce.
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 6 scallions, chopped
  • 2 lbs. tomatoes, choppedSalt, pepper, saffron to taste

Preparation of Tomato Sauce

1. In a frying pan heat the oil and sauté the scallions; add tomatoes, season with salt, pepper and saffron to taste.

2. Cook 20 minutes, stirring constantly, until a smooth sauce. Pour into a glass jar and keep refrigerated until serving.
