For Serves 4.
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • - Ground walnuts to decorate

Preparation of Red Wine Delight

1. In a saucepan put the wine and sugar; boil the syrup until fine thread stage. In a separate bowl beat egg whites until stiff peaks.

2. Slowly add the syrup, beating constantly. Continue beating until cool and thick. Serve in individual bowls decorated with nuts.
