1. In a saucepan heat the oil, add the onion and garlic; cook until transparent.
2. Add the tomatoes and cook over low heat 15-20 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Add the basil, salt and pepper, simmer for 5 minutes. Serve hot over noodles.
