1. In a heavy skillet melt the butter and sauté the onion, ham, sage and bay leaf. Add the livers and mushrooms. Cook until the ingredients are well mixed.
2. Add the salt, pepper, port wine and chicken broth. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot with hot rice.
