Ingredients for Guatemalan Chocolate
For Serves 4. - 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cups black coffee unsweetened
- 1 tablespoon powdered cinnamon
- 1 piece vanilla bean
- - Pinch of salt
- 3 cups hot milk
Preparation of Guatemalan Chocolate
1. Melt chocolate with a little water in a double boiler over low flame. Add the sugar and constarch, then the coffee and stir until smooth. Simmer 5 minutes. Add cinnamon, vanilla and hot milk. Cook 30 minutes. Whip to a froth, remove vanilla bean and serve.
