Ingredients for Green Tomato Sauce
For Makes 1 3/4 cups. - 1 (20 oz.) can green tomatoes, drained
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 3 green peppers, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano Salt and pepper
Preparation of Green Tomato Sauce
1. In a small saucepan put together the tomatoes, garlic and peppers. Cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes have disintegrated, stirring once or twice. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook, for a few minutes, until the mixture is blended. Put the sauce in a jar and refrigerate.
